Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change
Stephen Hawking
As Hawkins, intelligent are those who can go with change. As Hawkins’s I also believe that change is the
rule of universe. You may ask me why I use
the word change. Yes absolutely, in our teaching and learning field also change
is needed. We are often talking about the change in education field, but we are
still using the same traditional way of teaching and learning mythology. Especially, developing country like Nepal, it
has still been difficult to utilized new way of technology since we are in the
crawling phase. These days some of the economically
well educational intuitions has been introduced the technology in teaching and
learning pedagogy, although I fully believe in future every educational intuition
will adapt the new way of technology and methodology in teaching and learning
arena.
Talking about my involvement in building teaching skills
through interactive web class was precious for me. It is completely new kind of
experience, which has help me to encounter with technological word. Before joining in this class I just used web
technology for searching some information and maintain the relationship between
people. But after becoming the part of this course, I realized the new way of
teaching and learning pedagogy.
Technology plays the vital role in human life, we all are
becoming the member of the technology family, in order that our basis need to
maintain healthy relationship with this family, we just need to be curious and
smart to use it properly so that it helps us to explore the new sphere of
knowledge and opportunity.
As being the learner of interactive web technology, now I have
built more confident that in coming days I will use different kinds of
technology in teaching and learning fields and raise the awareness to others
about importance of technology in teaching and learning field.
Try to see the new things roaming around you and when you
see it, immediately adapt it if it helpful for you.

Dear Renuka,
ReplyDeleteI was glad to read your blog entry in this 9th week of our eTeacher Training due to very interesting issues, which I totally have to agree on you.
In your last paragaph you mentioned the vital role of technology in today's life, especially in our life, and that we are becoming familiy members of technology. I thing you were able to define your thoughts with nice expressions.
Sometimes I also felt belonging to a techie family but in comparison to you or some of my young students, I feel like a granny. And, I am sure, there is a bit of truth in my words, because the young generation grows up with web technology as a daily naturalness "like a duck takes to water" and they are very quick in understanding and love playing with it.
My generation, especially those who are 10 years older than me, had to put effort in learning to work, exploring web tools and putting off shyness when working in an virtual environment.
Sometimes I wished I would be younger and feel like 15 or 20 year olds, when it comes to working with gambing programmes,... The elder generation misses the playful experience and this sometimes slows them down, but it is worth learning about these tools, though there have been many improvements made that also help more mature and senior learners and of course handicapped (who profit the utmost from web tech)to create an enjoyably virtual experience for.
In some circumstances, life tells us that the young learn from the old. In the 21st century of computerage this proverb should be questioned as now the young teach the old!

Brigitte
Thank You for your appreciation Brigitte. you are right in your own way, being a responsible person in any arena makes man older however, we need to be as like younger so that we can get the real happiness of life.

Hi Renuka,
ReplyDeleteIt is my first time visiting your blog.I see you also love changes with and in technology. As our facilitator I liked your quotes too.And as you mentioned, we can't imagine our life and daily routine without technology.Last week 2 days I have no internet connection in my region. There was a catastrophe.I understand again that how difficult to continue without i-net.My work life stopped.
I agree with your thoughts about the young.Nowadays teachers even learn from their students. In my city and school most students know ICT more than their teachers.

Hi
ReplyDeleteRenu, Brigitte, and pervana
First of all I like the last last in in Reuka's blog
"Try to see the new things roaming around you and when you see it, immediately adapt it if it helpful for you" Moreover, I like the comment by Parvana, and Brigitte. Of course, this is age of technology, our teaching and learning will be SMART and meaningful if we can able to make our classroom more ICT oriented.
thank you.
Hi,
DeleteMaheshwor,
Thank you so much for appreciating my words. I agree with you that with the help of proper technology, we can change the trained of teaching and learning.
Regards,
Renuka
Hello Renu,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, technology can do many things in the class room. We can change our ancient way of teaching learning with the help of modern technologies. It depends on the way the teachers and students use them, even the number of machines available. I liked the most is that we can use computers for group work either with or without immediate teacher supervision.
Wish you all the best!!
